The week is nearing an end

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Ready for the weekend?

It has been a rather short week with time going rather fast, too fast for my liking! Dont you agree? We barely get enough time to actually type a few words into our novels, lets protest against the clock!! Haha

Anyway, I am calling upon all you my fellow writers to come join my page to discuss writing and anything about it so come over πŸ™‚ http://on.fb.me/NLmEak

      • I’ve done character creation and plot development in classes when nobody was paying attention to me. It’s a hard habit to break. πŸ™‚

      • I meant when I was a student, but I was a substitute teacher for 2 years in Florida. I’d spend my free periods doing writing, but when I had classes where the students did work, I’d sneak a few lines in if the classes behaved. Never anything focused. I never went to full-time teacher because of mass firings and having to move back to NY. Today, I’m just the stay-at-home dad/author. A lot more relaxing.

      • Stay at home dad/author sounds so good, I wish I could have the same profession! Ha! Well, you have to make the most of the time you get I guess! πŸ™‚

      • True. Though, it’s not the easiest path without a good amount of savings or a spouse with a stable income. My wife got demoted to part-time right before Christmas and then let go a few weeks ago, so we’ve had a few nasty obstacles. I really wouldn’t recommend mimicking me because of them. The risk is really high.

      • I know, that’s exactly why I haven’t done it yet, in today’s world one can’t risk being without income. For as much as I love to write I also love stability!

      • I agree, but I came to find that stability is rather fragile. I’ve had several great jobs that were lost because of events beyond my control. Company went out of business, new boss cleaning house, higher up makes a mistake, etc. It really wears a person down until they either accept that it’s the way things are or they decide to stop being at the whim of others. Though, I still have to take orders from the toddler, but that comes with a better benefit package. πŸ™‚
